Less is more? My fitness journey

It all starts with a first blog post…

Confusion, fear, anxiety

How do you write your first post?

I wanted to start off with an honest and short article.
For a few weeks now I have realised I haven’t worked out properly for about a year, don’t get me wrong, I do try my best to maintain an active lifestyle, but nothing too intense. I do go to the odd dance/fitness classes once a week, but I’m still noticing a bit of a weight gain.

Ok so here we go, I am 22, currently weighing in at 9st11 (63kg). This is the first time I’ve weighed myself for 6 months. Back then I was roughly weighing in at 9st2 (58kg). So I am slowly seeing some weight gain and changes to my body.

How do I stamp this out? I feel like I’m in a spiral of eating junk food and feeling awful about myself.
I have to admit, I am a sucker for sugary foods, and I find it far more easier ordering a takeaway than cooking a meal. I am not joking when I say this, last week I had chip shop chips for lunch 3 days in a row.
I want and need to start watching what I’m eating and change my exercise routines.
Now, this will prove difficult as Christmas is less than two weeks away, but I am determined to change for the better.

The way I feel physically is how I feel mentally, a healthy body is a healthy mind, as they say!

Throughout the upcoming months I will keep updating my fitness progress. I am aiming to focus on some weight loss, a healthy diet and toning my body.

How do you guys like to exercise? What keeps you motivated? Let me know if you have any useful tips to a successful healthy and active lifestyle
